w3.fund updates: For those of you who forgot that we're not just a co-working space and an event platform: our fund has some portfolio updates.
My co-founder Henrik dropped some nuggets on the crypto x AI narrative.
No way you're going to miss anything around Berlin Blockchain Week. I'm sharing some tweets, updates, links, and all the stuff you need to close your laptop and head into the weekend.
GM GM, I am back.
This newsletter literally had an outage last week because I got super sick. But I was able to dab my tears dry with a juicy Bitcoin all-time high. (Even though Arthur Hayes thinks we're not there yet).
Get ready, because retail is coming:
Retail is coming.
There's been a spike in Google search trends for "Etherium" rather than Ethereum.

What can I say, my head is deep in all things Berlin Blockchain Week. I'm transforming from co-founder of w3.group to co-founder of w3.vibes aka speaker relations and event experience.
My life currently consists less of consumer crypto and more of project management, presentations, and countless Notion databases.
But so none of you can say you didn't catch what's happening with us, I've cc'd you all.

My co-founder just dropped his insights on how AI agents and Web3 are colliding to create entirely new economic paradigms. According to VanEck's predictions, we'll see 1 million new AI agents in 2025 alone. We're witnessing the birth of an economy where autonomous agents directly exchange value with each other – making crypto infrastructure not just useful, but essential.
The most promising intersection? DeFAI – the fusion of decentralized finance with artificial intelligence. This sector's market cap is already approaching $1.5 billion, becoming the proving ground for agent-based systems that autonomously manage capital, analyze markets, and execute complex financial strategies.

What's fascinating is how the DeFAI landscape is evolving into distinct categories:
Abstraction protocols like Griffain and HeyAnon that let you simply tell your agents what you want ("Stake 5 ETH for the highest yield")
Autonomous portfolio managers like Fungi optimizing yields across chains
Market analysis agents like AIXBT processing vast amounts of on-chain and off-chain data
The killer insight? Traditional payment rails weren't built for the high-frequency, low-value, conditional transactions that agent interactions require. Blockchain technology enables programmable money that can be transferred instantly, in microscopic amounts, with built-in conditions. Without these capabilities, a truly autonomous agent economy would be impossible.
For the next generation, this means personal AI financial advisors that not only provide guidance but can autonomously execute complex strategies. Think Robinhood Cortex but on steroids – democratizing access to sophisticated wealth management that was previously only available to the wealthy.
We're looking at mainstream adoption of basic agent-based financial services within 2-3 years, with more sophisticated autonomous systems becoming commonplace by the end of the decade.

Marketing Wizard Quinn created this video today, showing how we're preparing as a team:

Last week I asked the builders at the Solana Build Station what they're working on (you'll get the full reveal at Demo Day during the Solana Startup Village):
We also asked people what they associate with Berlin (it's wholesome):
Come visit the crypto capital.
